PCB AWARDS 2025 – ALBERTA FRANCOPHONIE EXCELLENCE AWARDS - Organized by the Pont Cultural Bridge

Nominations open on October 25, 2025 to celebrate those who, through their actions, contribute to the influence and development of the Alberta Francophonie . The PCB Awards honor individuals, associations and organizations that embody the values of excellence, inclusion, leadership and community engagement :

🏆 MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD 2025 This award recognizes a man whose exceptional achievements during the year have had a positive and lasting impact on Alberta's Francophone community. His leadership, dedication, and influence will have contributed tangibly to the development and vitality of the Francophonie in Alberta.

🏆 WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD 2025 This award honors a woman who has distinguished herself through her remarkable commitment, her inspiring initiatives and her exemplary contribution to the development of the Francophone community. She stands out for her positive influence , her sense of service and her ability to mobilize and inspire those around her.

👩🏾⚖ ADAMIATOU KONATÉ WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP AWARD 2025 This award celebrates a woman who actively works for the advancement, empowerment, and representation of women in Alberta society. Through her initiatives—whether professional, community, or social—she will have contributed to fostering gender equality and promoting women's rights with passion and conviction.

(This award is distinguished from the “Woman of the Year Award” by its specific focus on female leadership and advocacy for women’s rights.)

💼 ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR AWARD 2025 This award honors an entrepreneur whose vision, innovation and perseverance have had a notable economic and social impact on the Francophone community. Their business or initiative embodies the values of excellence, innovation and resilience , while contributing to the prosperity and economic diversity of the Alberta Francophonie.

🏘 COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION OF THE YEAR AWARD 2025 This award recognizes a non-profit association managed by and for the community , which has distinguished itself through the quality, diversity and scope of its activities. Its commitment will have promoted social cohesion, inclusion and citizen participation , thus strengthening the French-speaking community fabric.

(This award is reserved for community volunteer associations, distinct from professional or institutional organizations.)

🏢 ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR AWARD 2025 This award recognizes a structured or institutional organization which, through its programs, services and initiatives, actively contributes to the development and influence of the Alberta Francophonie. It highlights the concrete impact , the relevance of the actions and the quality of the service offered to the community.

🍃 2025 YOUTH ENGAGEMENT AWARD This award highlights a young person aged 30 or younger who stands out for their leadership, sense of initiative and community involvement . Through their creativity, vision and dynamism, they embody the next generation of French-speaking people and inspire future generations.

🏅 TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2025 This award recognizes a teacher who, beyond their pedagogical excellence, is actively involved in promoting Francophone culture and values . Through their educational influence and community involvement, they contribute to the development of young Francophones and to strengthening the sense of belonging to the Alberta Francophonie.
